A law firm seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to work remotely from California. This position involves managing a high-volume caseload, focusing on bankruptcy matters, and representing secured creditors. The ideal candidate will possess strong written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills and be comfortable handling cases efficiently in a remote work environment.Duties:Review and execute legal documents, including Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim.Conduct comprehensive Chapter 13 Plan reviews and draft objections.Prepare motions such as Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay and other pleadings in bankruptcy cases.Attend court hearings, both telephonically and in person, as required.Manage a large caseload while meeting goals and client expectations.Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters in a timely manner.Participate in special projects and additional tasks as needed.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bankruptcy or mortgage servicing experience (preferred but not required).Admission to practice law in California; multi-jurisdiction admission is a plus but not mandatory.Experience with Chapter 11 and Adversary Proceedings is a bonus but not essential.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active California State Bar membership.Skills:Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Proficient in legal research using both legal and non-legal sources.Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.Proficient in software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Location:Remote (California-based)This role is ideal for attorneys seeking a flexible, remote work environment while managing complex bankruptcy cases.
