A law firm seeks a motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to work remotely, handling a high-volume caseload with a focus on bankruptcy matters. This role is ideal for a self-driven attorney with strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills who is comfortable working with clients and managing sensitive cases in a fast-paced environment.Duties
Review and execute legal documents, including Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of ClaimConduct Chapter 13 plan reviews and prepare related documentsAttend court hearings, both telephonically and in person, as neededDraft and prepare motions such as Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay and Objections to Chapter 13 PlansRepresent secured creditors in bankruptcy matters, managing all aspects of assigned cases to meet client goalsHandle escalated and time-sensitive cases as requiredParticipate in additional special projects as assignedRequirements
Experience : Bankruptcy or mortgage servicing experience preferred but not required; Chapter 11 and adversary proceeding experience is a plusLicensure : Admission to practice law in California; multi-jurisdiction admission is beneficial but not requiredSkills : Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on detail and problem-solvingEducation
Degree : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications

Proficient in legal research and able to utilize both legal and non-legal sources effectivelyHigh proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large caseload and prioritize tasks efficientlyAnalytical mindset and detail-oriented approach to handling cases in a high-paced environmentStrong work ethic and adaptability to evolving case requirements
