IP Patent Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled IP Patent Associate Attorney specializing in patent prosecution. The ideal candidate will have superior academic credentials, significant experience in drafting and prosecuting US and international patent applications, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should also possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.Duties:Draft and prosecute US and international patent applications in the mechanical arts.Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Collaborate with clients to understand and assess their inventions and technological advancements.Manage patent portfolios and develop strategies for intellectual property protection.Review and analyze patent-related documents and provide detailed opinions on patent validity and infringement.Communicate with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) regarding patent applications.Keep up-to-date with current laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting intellectual property rights.Requirements:2-4 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting US and international patent applications in the mechanical arts.Some experience with electrical and software technologies.Admission to a State Bar.Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is highly preferred.Superior academic credentials.Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to a State Bar (required).Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (preferred).Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in drafting patent applications and other legal documents.Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in patent research and database tools.Additional Qualifications:Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Demonstrated interest in and commitment to intellectual property law.Company infoBCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew YorkNew YorkUnited States 10017Phone :
