In 2022, CommentSold debuted its lightweight video commerce plugin technology, Videeo, which gives any retailer or brand the ability to embed and go live with engaging, branded live video commerce experiences within days by easily integrating into an existing e-commerce stack.About The RoleThe Senior Business Analyst on our AI & Data Team will serve as a senior BI expert and cross-departmental liaison in our Company, responsible for setting up business intelligence tools, enabling data-driven decisions and reporting of business progress. Strong impact on fueling growth and profitability of business. Intriguing exploration of user behavior and live selling efficiency. Building the bridge into Artificial Intelligence use-cases within the organization.This person reports to our EVP of AI & Data. This is a fully remote role based out of EST or CST time zone in the US.Main ResponsibilitiesAs part of the AI & Data team, build a company-wide data platform. Drive data democracy and literacy within the company.Develop and maintain central reporting & dashboarding, enable business teams to explore available data realms and drive data-driven decisions.Interact with many stakeholders, incl. department leads and senior executives, to develop automated reporting or answer focus questions.Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Business teams and Finance to steer or support projects aimed at data tools and data products creation.Scan the landscape of both internal and external data sources, propose extensions and updates of the data platform. Document data dictionary and ETL processes.Evaluate and document key business and operational drivers, support top management in strategy creation and execution.Skills, Qualifications & EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or STEM.At least 5 years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Data analytics, Controlling (or similar analytical roles)Have demonstrated aptitude for working with data in various formats, with excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skillsStrong expertise in SQL (will be tested during the recruitment process). Python literacy (esp. for data handling) is useful and welcomed from candidates.Well versed in business intelligence tools and platforms including Looker, Chartio, Power BI, Tableau or similarDue to mentioned responsibilities, business acumen (proven by past roles) required, e-commerce experience is a strong plus.Outstanding visualization and data storytelling, confident to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing. Translating ideas between technical and non-technical audiences is a vital part of job success.Keen to work in a team environment, eager to give-and-take exchange with other team members and/or regular knowledge sharing.Curious, insights and root-causes hungry. Thriving for visible business impact of own tasks.Flexible, self-motivated. Organized and structured, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes against tight deadlines.CompensationThe base salary for this role is expected to be in the $110,000 - $130,000 range.
