In this role, you will develop software that enables rapid algorithm iteration and supports healthy and efficient software development.What you’ll be doing:
Develop foundational software such as messaging, logging, and event management utilities for algorithm teams to build off of.Develop tools that enable rapid debugging, testing, and evaluation of the Planning and Control software.Increase our overall team velocity through improvements in the development, testing, evaluation, and release infrastructure and processes.Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.Most importantly, develop groundbreaking, meaningful technology, solve difficult problems, and help build a world-class autonomous system!What we need to see:
BS, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science or similar fields.5+ years of relevant work experience.Experience in software development with C++ in a large codebase.Good knowledge of Python and associated libraries.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a large team and drive consensus.Familiarity programming with professional software development workflows using git in Linux (Ubuntu) or another Unix based system.Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with working in a large monorepo and with Bazel.Experience working on tools for developer productivity, including tools for testing and CI/CD.Prior knowledge about vehicle simulation, path planning, vehicle control, Drive-by-Wire systems, and autonomous vehicles.With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers.
