What we offer:
Dematic is looking for a talented Software Support Engineer to provide remote, second level customer support with Dematic's Customer Service Technical Support department. The work schedule for this opening is Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm EST. The employee will work closely with customers, first level technicians, and software/technical engineers to resolve customer issues. The employee may participate in emergency situations requiring on-site support. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, and networking.Other duties include:Assisting project and technical engineers in integration of new systemsAssisting technical and development personnel in application quality testingWorking on site to install, commission, and test installation of material handling solutionsProviding specified technical support to customers on-siteTroubleshoot server hardware, Ethernet networks and other peripherals such as printerReview Sales and Estimating Functional Specifications documentationTravel approximately 20% of the time to different customer locations and Dematic locations in the United StatesParticipate in an on-call rotation during non-business hoursTasks and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field)At least 2 years' experience in software, network and/or hardware engineering positionsExperience with Oracle databasesExperience with MS SQL DatabaseExperience with Windows operating systemsPreferred Qualifications:5+ years' experience in software, network and/or hardware engineering positionsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Material Handling background is a plusStrong problem solving skills.
