Description
Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a solid background in IT/Computers. The IT Technician will install/maintain computer systems and networks and also train users of the systems to make efficient use of the IT infrastructure. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. Working with application solution providers to help drive issue resolution.
Universal Metro Asian Services is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe.
UMAS is a small, family run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, perceptive employee should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and lots of follow through.
Roles and Responsibilities
Set up hardware and software systems as well as necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)Maintain, configure & repair equipment (Hardware, Software, routers, printers etc.)Provide training and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)Offering technical support on-site, remotely or via phone or emailInstall and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsCatalog/record issues identified in the IT ticketing systemData entry and verification as requiredRequirements
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Education: Associate, Bachelor, or Equivalent in a related fieldExperience: 1-2 years in IT related experienceThorough knowledge of computer systems and IT componentsExcellent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsGood knowledge of PBX / VoIP-based phone systems, Access Control, Security, Surveillance systems, etc.Advanced expertise in Web Bases application platform's common features and work methodology. (eg. Online Training portal, Access Control System, VoIP Portal etc).Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Products (Outlook, SharePoint OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)Proficient in Adobe CC (Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Creative Cloud basic feature)Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentationSelf-motivated, creative, flexible and results-drivenAbility to be a productive team member/playerAdditional qualifications include:
Being fluent in Hindi/Urdu or Gujarati is preferredExperience with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)Familiarity with IT support/ticket system, Web-based application
