The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of colon and rectal surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction and supervision of medical students, surgery residents and colorectal surgery fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include care for patients presenting with colorectal concerns.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic science or clinical research related to colorectal surgery.
This position will be housed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, flagship institution of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Applicants with robotic surgical experience will be preferred.
