Tenure Track Physician-Scientist in Cardiovascular Medicine

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cardiovascular research broadly defined as subspeciality training in cardiovascular medicine and candidates must have demonstrated a commitment to developing innovative research programs in cardiovascular science as the principal focus of their career. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, graduate students, residents, and fellows in the context of research programs.
Clinical responsibilities may include serving as a teaching attending in clinical programs that complement research interest.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading extramurally funded research programs focused broadly in cardiovascular science, including bench, clinical/translational, and health services research.
