Job Description:
The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon to join our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on education and experience, and this position will be tenure track or multi-mission track depending upon applicant interests. Specific training or experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery is required. Other preferred clinical skillsets include facial trauma, general pediatric reconstruction, facial/scalp reconstruction, and/or facial aesthetics. This new physician will join a group of plastic surgeons with a reputation of excellence in patient care working within a state-of-the-art academic medical center with excellent support and a focus on improving pediatric healthcare. UF Health has a dedicated interdisciplinary pediatric craniofacial center that is a regional referral site for children with cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, vascular anomalies, and other craniofacial conditions.
The Division of Plastic Surgery has a long-standing commitment to trainee education, and the new surgeon will be actively involved in the integrated residency and independent fellowship training programs.
Expected Salary:
Salary is negotiable based on education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a medical degree; board certification or eligibility in plastic surgery. It also requires fellowship subspecialty training in pediatric craniofacial surgery unless training and/or practice has provided a robust experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
We prefer a candidate with a track record of scholarly productivity and who is engaged with professional organizations pertinent to pediatric craniofacial surgery.
