Overview:

Creative Learning Center is looking for a full or part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team in Redwood City, CA! The Creative Learning Center is a state-certified, K-12 private day school in California for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurological disorders. Our comprehensive services available across the South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco Bay Area are designed to meet the unique needs of the whole student. We are a division of the LEARN Academy, a national leader in special education, academic intervention, and behavioral services for autism. What We Offer Competitive compensation plan Comprehensive benefits and retirement plans Tuition assistance reimbursement (up to $2,000 per year) Referral bonuses Opportunity for 1099 contractor or W2 Responsibilities: Creative Learning Center is a certified NPA and in network with insurance companies enabling us to service students privately in our clinical setting with Behavioral ABA, SLP, OT, and Social Skills Development. The OT position requires working in a 1:1 setting and small group settings with children with Autism and other similar disorders. Sessions take place in a 1:1 clinic setting, and in our inclusion preschool. Although we can train in the following areas, the position requires: Report writing Assessment Working with behavior management and sensory issues Data collection Desire to work with students using a positive behavioral approach

Qualifications:

Masters in Occupational Therapy Passed the NBCOT Maintain CA license per AOTA requirements Experience working with students with Autism is preferred but not required Spanish speaking a plus but not required. Must be able to assume a variety of postures (stoop, reach, stand, kneel, squat, sit, walk, lift, pull, grasp) for extended periods of time. Must be willing and able to implement safety measures consistent with Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) such as: therapeutic holds and transportation procedures utilizing quick body movements in the course of maintaining the safety of students with special needs.
