Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate clients' communication abilities in both English and Spanish.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' speech, language, and communication goals using evidence-based practices.Provide therapy services to clients with various communication disorders, including articulation, language delays, fluency disorders, and pragmatic language difficulties.Offer support and guidance to clients, families, and caregivers on strategies to enhance communication skills and promote functional communication in daily activities.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and optimize clients' outcomes.Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Bilingual proficiency in English and [Specify second language].Current Illinois license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Experience working with diverse populations and across various settings is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery.
