FORVIA is looking for a Year-Round Quality Intern for our Franklin, OH location.
Overall responsibilities and duties:
The Quality Intern will work with a Quality Engineer to manage the quality of the exhaust components being manufactured. This includes developing quality control processes, instructing factory workers on these processes, examining components and comparing against documentation, updating documentation, and presenting solutions to management. On the job training will be provided to ensure a successful experience.
The main missions of the role are:
Ensure quality control processes are robust and being performed correctlyInvestigate complaints from customersPresent to management on how to detect future quality issuesCreate instructions for factory workers to check for quality issuesInterface with factory workers to understand and troubleshoot manufacturing processesInstruct factory workers on new quality proceduresCreate/Update documents such as: Ok 1st Piece Sheets, Control Plans, PFMEAs, Gage Instructions, and Service Validation SheetsPerform Final Inspection AuditsDocumentation Audits on the shop floorAudit benders to make sure operators are gaging correctly and parts are conforming to the gage.Conduct Capability and Gage R&R studiesSupport Quality Members by being involved on QRCIs/8D SubmissionsMinimum education level:
Pursuing a Technical or Business Degree
Skills and competencies:
