Aguajito Veterinary Hospital is looking for an Associate DVM to join our team!
Aguajito Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Monterey, CA. We provide best-in-class veterinary care for small animals and exotic family members-and we've been doing it since 1979. We offer wellness, preventative, and urgent care services including surgical and dental procedures. We were voted "Neighborhood Favorite" by Nextdoor in 2019!
Our team is looking for a DVM that can support us full-time and is confident with surgical and urgent care procedures.

Supports excellence in client experienceWorks collaboratively with HM and Medical DirectorPractices high quality, gold standard medicineExamine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical carePerform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeriesPrescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plansCounsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeingInterpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plansMaintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentationAssist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when neededMentor and oversee veterinary technicians and support staffStay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practicesCOMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of California3+ years of clinical experienceStrong clinical skills and sound medical judgmentGood communication skills, both written and verbalTime-management and delegation abilitiesExercises sound judgment and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skillsProfessionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
