PURPOSE OF JOB : To provide students with Speech and /or Language services that will enable them to reach their maximum communication potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following.

Implement student IEPs as designed by the supervising Speech-Language Therapist.Ensure that student Individual Education Plans (IEP) are implemented as written.Establish schedules for assigned students according to service minutes established in the Individual Education Plan (IEP).Implement an IEP (and other supporting paperwork) for each student within mandated timelines.Complete all required forms for Medicaid billing (i.e. therapy logs, progress reports and physician recommendations.) Maintain logs on each student serviced and submit logs on Medicaid students to the Exceptional Education office monthly.Update and submit Caseload Summary report monthly with logs.Maintain accurate records.Compile year-end data and complete all required year-end forms.Attend scheduled staff developments.Perform other miscellaneous professional duties as assigned.Work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.Other duties as assigned.

None

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires Missouri Board of Healing Arts Licensure or Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association.They MUST have a license through the Board of HA to practice as an SLP in Missouri. CCCs from ASHA is optional but preferred.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Length of work year: 7.5 hours per day; 5 days/week; 205 day calendar
