The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Gastroenterologist for a full time Assistant Professor position based in our Fox Valley Region. The Fox Valley is one of the largest, fastest growing urban centers in Wisconsin and is conveniently located between Milwaukee where our main campus is located and Green Bay, with easy access to both cities.

Opportunity Highlights

Outstanding opportunity to join a well-established Pediatric Gastroenterology practice with another Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Nurse practitioner in Appleton, with outreach to De Pere, approximately 25 minutes away. Clinical Responsibilities include outpatient clinical evaluation and management of patients with pediatric gastrointestinal disease, inpatient attending and performing a range of GI procedures. No hospital, weekend, after hours call responsibilities. Opportunity exists for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric gastroenterology. Our program is comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care and we are seeking an individual who will bring enthusiasm and energy into the continued growth of our practice. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin Ability to obtain medical staff membership with core privileges in pediatrics. Pediatric Gastroenterology

Our pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition program is ranked in the top 25 of US News and World Report and is recognized as one of the top pediatric gastroenterology programs in the country for our clinical and research excellence. The Fox Valley satellite functions within the support system of our main campus program which is comprised of 25 faculty members, 5 APNP's and 6 instructor fellows who partner with a team of specialized nurse clinicians, dietitians, social workers, pediatric psychologists and research staff. We are committed to providing outstanding clinical care, while supporting a variety of educational, research, advocacy and quality improvement projects.

The role is employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin and provides care at Children's Wisconsin locations in Northeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are based in the Milwaukee area. The Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialty providers who work at the nationally ranked Children's Wisconsin are members of Children's Specialty Group, a strong group practice of more than 775 elite pediatric specialty physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.

This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Children's Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare . These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, through joint venture called Connected for Kids . This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

Children's Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children's Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children's Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care.
