Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Special Education, provide professional physical therapy services to physically disabled students including evaluating, planning and providing therapeutic therapy treatments.
Requirements / Qualifications• Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Physical Therapist in the State of California; or• Have completed all requirements to register for a State of California licensing examination; have filed a complete and bona fide application with the State of California for the purpose of licensure with the Board for the first time; and have possession of a letter of authorization to perform as a "physical therapist license applicant". Such applicants who do not possess a license but who have been accepted for the next State examination may, depending on circumstances, be placed under a waiver of appointment pending receipt of a valid license to practice as a Registered Physical Therapist in the State of California.• Experience and specialized training related to working with children is highly desirable;• Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance.

BENEFITSEmployees are provided with an insurance plan, which includes health, vision, and dental insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents, at a shared cost. Participation in this plan is mandatory for employees working 35 plus hours a week. Employee will be a member of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and MCOE contribute. Employee may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
