Job Summary:

LRE is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager will be Leeward’s lead during the late-stage development (post financial investment decision), construction, and commissioning of Leeward Energy renewable energy projects, which may include solar, solar/BESS, stand-alone BESS, and wind energy projects. The Project Manager will lead a team of internal stakeholders, site-based construction management professionals, safety officer(s), and inspectors while ensuring safety, quality, contract, and financial milestones are achieved. This role will be remote based with monthly travel required (min. 25% travel).

Essential Functions:

Provide leadership in project risk assessments and risk mitigation strategies.Provide leadership in stakeholder engagement and reporting to ensure that project stakeholders are properly informed and accountable for workstreams and work products.Promote and ensure compliance with LRE safety standards and promote LRE safety culture at all times, specifically ensuring that all BESS/Module/Turbine Suppliers (or other owner supplied equipment providers), BOP Contractor(s) and their subcontractors, and other contractors accessing a project site are adhering to project site safety plan.Must have a strong understanding of project budgets & schedules and be able to provide proactive oversight of project budgets, cashflow needs, and other financial related workstreams.Lead and manage Contractors and Suppliers contractual obligations including oversight and mitigation of change orders and other financial risks on a project.Lead a cross-functional team after hand-off from Development to ensure oversight and close-out of action items occur during the RFP, Contracting, Construction, and Commercial Operations phases of a project. Cross-functional teams are likely to include (at a minimum) Regulatory, Development, Safety, Environmental, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Utility/Transmission, Originations, Senior Leadership, and Legal. A candidate must be capable of leading such a complex team to ensure a project is built in accordance with regulatory and environmental compliance, contract, plans and specifications, financial, and safety requirements.Interface with all project team members, tracking issues and facilitating and expediting solutions.Responsible for maintaining clear and concise communications, keeping accurate records and thorough documentation throughout all phases of the project such that all stakeholders are informed and knowledgeable of key decisions points during the course of a project.Identify, deploy, and manage a high-performing team needed to monitor onsite construction and commissioning work for owner renewable energy projects.As challenges or change conditions present themselves, a candidate must be able to actively weigh the various stakeholder viewpoints and ensure timely and informed resolution is achieved.Track, manage, update, and submit internal weekly and monthly project reportsInterface with development team members on projects in late-stage development to ensure that project execution support is provided such that a project can move into the RFP/Contracting phases (e.g. constructability analysis, EPC estimates/ROMs, financial, permitting support, other items, etc.).Support PPA and LGIA negotiations and execution as requestedQualifications:

Strong understanding of construction safety requirements. OSHA 30-Hour qualification preferred.Experience managing construction QA/QC programs on renewable energy projects.A minimum of 6 years of renewable energy experience, or have completed not less than 3 wind, BESS, and/or solar farm construction projects as a project manager. Desired experience to include in-depth knowledge of at least three of the following: civil construction, structural/foundation construction, electrical construction, turbine erection/solar module assembly, testing & commissioning, preparing for and supporting various project financial/tax equity closes, and achieving utility commercial operation designations.Understanding of and experience managing renewable energy project contracts including EPC/BOP, testing & commissioning, turbine, module, and/or battery supplier agreements.Extensive project management skills with a track record of achieving success on complex projects.Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiations skills.Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, general software proficiency, and a sound understanding of project scheduling including critical path analysis, successor/predecessor analysis, change analysis, etc.Strong managerial/leadership skills.Bachelor’s degree in: Construction Management, Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Must have the ability to manage teams effectively in high stress situations while obtaining consensus and repeatedly overcoming challenges.Flexibility to work at locations across North America for up to ~25% of yearPhysical Demands:
