Responsibilities:This clinician scholar faculty member will devote 85% effort to clinical activities including being a part of the rotation of ICU nights, weekends, and holidays. The clinical effort will be at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview Southdale Hospital (including TELE ICU) and Fairview Ridges Hospital. The successful applicant is expected to have a robust academic profile. Participation in the Division's clinical and research conferences, Fellow's Journal Club and core curriculum lectures and teaching of students, residents and fellows will be expected. This position is ideal for recently trained, clinically adept intensivists who are interested in using their protected time to build an academic profile that promotes high quality cost effective care, while interacting with colleagues and developing creative research and/or educational programs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Completed residency and ABIM Board certified in Internal Medicine.Must be board-certified/eligible in Critical Care. Rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.Clinical, education and interpersonal skills and excellence are expected. including interest in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.Experience and/or training in program leadership, clinical trials and/or translational research are desirable.Benefits
