DescriptionWhat You'll Do:As the Information Assurance Analyst, you will provide critical IT, cyber security, network management/deployment, video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment, and database management support within NAVAIR's Air-to-Air Missiles Program Office (PMA-259). PMA-259 is responsible for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of air-to-air missile systems. This position will be based on-site (not remote) at NAS Patuxent River, MD, and will require up to 10% travel.Tasking in this role will be varied and exciting! Some responsibilities will include:Managing several classified networksOverseeing the deployment of systems, cyber security compliance, IT equipment inventory/set-up/life cycle management, including system disposal processingManaging multiple AV systems that network to various locations at MLS processingApplying principles, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure the protection of dataServing as an Information System Security Officer responsible for the protection and integrity of all forms of mediaActing as a liaison with Cyber Security Directorate (CSD) Security Controls Assessors by incorporating DoD cyber security directives (JSIG) Risk Management Framework (RMF)), DoDM 5205.07 series, ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements, etc.)Additional tasking may be asked of you based on the needs of the government customerPosition may require flexibility in working hoursThe job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. It is intended to describe the general nature of the position.RequirementsWho You Are:The Information Assurance Analyst will have the following education skills and experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is desired5 years of experience working with computer systems security requirements and knowledge of DoD 5205.07 volumes 1-4 and the NISPOMSUPOVPMust be DoD 8570.1 IAM-I compliant (must hold at least one of the following industry certifications: Security+ CE, CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, or HCISPP)General knowledge of encryption devices and how they tie into a WAN and certified with encryption devicesYou've previously held a Privileged User Account for Classified Networks (System Administrator, ISSO, SCA, etc.)Experience acting as a Data Transfer AgentThe following characteristics also describe you:You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.You have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Your organizational skills are impressive, allowing you to effectively manage competing priorities.ASEC is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodation in its services, activities, programs, and employment opportunities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable laws.Security Clearance Requirements:This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
