DescriptionWhat You'll Do:As the

Lead Software Engineer , you will oversee a diverse SW development team as part of the CSS team within NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program (PMA-271). Specific responsibilities may include:Conducting analyses and studies for software requirements development, engineering feasibility, system affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, vulnerability, and susceptibilityEvaluating customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, and functional requirementsSupporting budgeting, scheduling, and risk management of a major acquisition programSupporting software sustainment efforts to include correction of deficiencies, flight clearances, and cybersecurityCoordinating with teams and developers to ensure tasking is executed in the expected timeframeMentoring junior developers on the teamEnsuring cyber requirements are metRequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Programming, or a related technical degree, requiredAt least 3 years of recent experience in developing software for DoD systems is requiredCompTIA Security + certification is desiredSome leadership/mentoring experience is highly preferredWho You Are:You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customersYou have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenYou take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervisionYou have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skillsYour organizational skills allow you to manage competing prioritiesSecurity Clearance Requirements:This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
