Job Responsibilities

-Provide end user support for application software utilization by stream-lining processes and designing workflow. Work with users to identify and implement solutions. Troubleshoot application software issues by researching the user's problem, showing them how to resolve it, or reporting unresolved issues with software vendor solution centers. Serve as a liaison between the end user community and the software vendor. Implement new application software features by analysis of the application and determining the relevance to the end user. Provide training and support during implementation. Design, document, and implement programs, applications, or reports to meet end users' or the College's needs in the assigned areas.

- In charge of overseeing technology utilization within HR and Finance departments, focusing on optimization and automation. Stays current with trends in HR/Finance management systems, implementing updates and improvements. Involved in integrating new tools and systems to enhance departmental operations. Additionally, collaborates with reporting analysts for South Carolina State reporting (SCIES) compliance.

- Assist functional departments directly with year-end close regulatory items and tax forms. W-2, 1095-C, 1098, file transfer just to name a few. Ensure all year end files are closed out and transferred to their appropriate file suites. Ensure files are transferred accurately, securely, and on time to agencies such as the IRS.

- Participate in the Budget Process each year, assisting the Finance department with making recommendations, realizing data insights, and helping the college complete a successful budget process.

- Provide Ad-hoc query and report writing assistance to end users, encouraging and training them to use available user-friendly tools and to become independent with reporting and data extracts. Responsible for the identification and documentation of any custom programs, reports, or virtual fields.

- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.Minimum and Additional Requirements

High school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a relevant field as business, finance, economics, information technology, or a related discipline, programming experience in multiple programming languages, and a knowledge of database concepts.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL (Structured Query Language) Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., power BI), and statistical analysis software. Programming/IT experience combined with a strong understanding of finance/business concepts. Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.Additional Comments
