We are seeking candidates for the position of Electrician-First Class (0751).
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Installs, maintains, repairs, tests and adjusts electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensures that work is in accordance with specifications and relevant codes.
*Starting Pay Rate: $35.34/hour - After 12 Months: $39.27, based on applicable contract.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES
Installs, maintains, repairs, tests and adjusts electrical equipment, wiring and fixtures.Inspects, cleans, repairs transformers, inverters, motor alternators, automatic transfer switches, switchboard relays.Inspects, cleans and makes all repairs to all repairs to lighting circuits, replaces fuses and circuit breakers.Installs and repairs substation power traction equipment, bus bars and wiring, repairs motors and motor controls.Maintains power service to all electrical apparatus.
ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent.Must have a valid driver's license. Will be required to obtain a CDL.Must successfully complete pre-employment and performance tests as required.Must have 4 years of relevant electrical work experience.An equivalent combination of trade school education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements (one year of formal education equating to two years of experience).Must have relevant electrical work experience and be proficient in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing and adjustment of electrical equipment.
