Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

Located in the Northwest of Atlanta, Michael J. Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB-International and serves around 9,000 students. The Department of Information Systems and Security consists of 30+ full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in Information Systems, Information Security and Assurance, and Cybersecurity; and graduate degrees in Information Systems (MSIS), Healthcare Management and Informatics (MSHMI), Digital Financial Technologies (FINTECH), and a dual MBA-MSIS degree. The department also offers an IS concentration in the Ph.D. (Business Administration) program. The academic programs at the department embrace applied learning and actively pursue industry engagements to offer students a transformational experience. Our faculty members have research interests offering collaboration opportunities. The department hosts the 3D printing lab, Brainlab, Information security & assurance lab, and an immersive visualization environments research supercluster. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Information Systems and Security for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity, information security management, contingency planning, digital forensics, network security, information technology audit, or other related classes of cybersecurity Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in cybersecurity, information systems, information security, information assurance, or a closely related discipline is required. OR

A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required. To teach graduate courses:

A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in cybersecurity, information systems, information security, information assurance, or a related discipline is required. Preferred Qualifications

Certifications (such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Security+ Experience teaching online courses. Industry experience in areas of cybersecurity, information security and assurance, and / or digital technologies. Required Documents to Attach

Background Check
