Accounting Analyst for a growing private equity fund management company

Accounting AnalystDescriptionThis position will act oversee and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of company’s finance and accountingdeliverables.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesShadow, review, and/or prepare fund financials, property financials, and operating financialsCalculate management fees and carried interestPrepare capital calls and distribution noticesMonitor and project cash needsOversee the audits of various entities and investmentsLiaise with tax accountants and coordinate tax filingsResearch tax and accounting developmentsTrack and review portfolio investmentsTrack and review debt covenants with lendersCreate and maintain accounting policies and proceduresSupport the asset valuation processTroubleshoot finance and accounting issuesUndertake ad hoc requestsQualificationsBachelor degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or universityAssociate:2+ years of experience at a private equity, hedge fund, fund administrator, or auditing firm (preferably auditing alternative investment funds or financial services firm), OR3+ years of experience at a CPA firm handling full cycle accounting and supporting documents, ANDWill need to take an accounting and finance examAnalyst:0-3 years of experience at a private equity, hedge fund, fund administrator, audit firm, or CPAfirmCPA a plusMust be proficient in the following:Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Good communication skills, both oral and writtenProblem solvingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsMultitasking and prioritizing work to meet deadlinesA strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly fund and partnership accounting
