or watch an overview video at https://youtu.be/ilO5cv0G4mQWe are Now Hiring a Road Supervisor in Hamden, CT!Transdev is proud to offer:$25.00/HRAttractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental and vision.Paid time off & vacationResponsibilities:Ensure the dispatching boards are correct and keep them updatedAssign trips as necessary to minimize deadhead miles/time and maximize efficiency while ensuring timely pickupsView and edit trips, using correct vehicles and driversBe able to geographically locate drivers at all timesReassign trips as necessary to accommodate maintenance and trip demandsDocument schedule changes and route coverageEnsure timely performance of all trips by monitoring driver routes periodicallyEnsure proper radio and 10-code useDocument all driver call outs, including early and late starts, and early and late finishCommunicate cancellations and trip changes to drivers and ManagementAssist drivers in finding locationsKeep an accurate record of incidents and accidents and make sure to document in dispatch log and follow up with immediate supervisorAssist drivers and notify proper authorities in the event of accidentInform maintenance department of any road service callsDrive when needed to cover a route or bringing buses to dealers, etc.Assist in handling attendance sheets.Requirements:A high school diploma or GED (Some college preferred)CDL RequiredPrior transportation scheduling, dispatch, or routing experience preferredA minimum of two years supervisory experienceThe ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form with all levels of personnelKnowledge of local geographyThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
