Join our team as we help shape the future.The Hartford’s Group Benefits IT Team is seeking a highly motivated IT professional who will be a part of a team responsible for an exciting transformation within our application landscape. This role will be a part of an agile team working in close partnership with business teams to deliver transformational outcomes.Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate solid technical acumen as well as experience delivering robust technical solutions which adhere to development standards to ensure systems are stable, performant, and secure.Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in application software solution development1+ years of hands-on experience with Angular.Hands-on experience with Java.Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database technologies such as Oracle. Knowledge of open-source database technologies is nice to have.Experience using and building Web Services (SOAP and REST) using technologies such as Java Spring Boot.Demonstrate a high-level of independence but also a team playerExperience with the full software development lifecycle.Experience writing and using APIs.Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure environments such as Open Shift a plus.Knowledge and/or experience with Oracle Revenue and Management Billing software a plus!Strong communication skills – oral and written.Demonstrate strong technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevSecOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Checkmarx, SonarQube, Splunk, etc. or similar.Familiarity with Agile methodology and working in a highly collaborative environment.Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams.This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Aurora, IL, New York, NY and Danbury, CT) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
