SR. DATA ANALYST, CONSUMER & MARKETING INSIGHTS/NPDThis person will be highly skilled and experienced in consumer & marketing insights, NPD, trends and research and analysis to help drive our brands and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes, and how to translate data into actionable plans to guide product strategy. They will be responsible for providing strategic insights that drive our product development, marketing, and business strategies.The Consumer Insights & Analytics team utilizes consumer and market data to inform better decision making across the organization. This team is at the forefront of identifying new innovations and guiding the product strategy for the entire company. As we rapidly expand our insights capabilities, your role will be pivotal in identifying market trends, recommending which categories to innovate in next, and proposing solutions to solve key consumer pain points. Your massive impact to this team will help the entire organization create better products that delight consumers and build brand loyalty!RESPONSIBILITIES:Be responsible for data analysis and data sets related to NPD, Luminate, survey data, and other market data sourcesCollect, analyze and create reports for key business reviews and for tracking customer experience performanceTransform business questions into research plansTranslate research findings into actionable insights that will have the effect of reaching millions of peopleCommunicate effectively in order to motivate people to take action in marketing, product, sales and across the organizationProactively seek out strategic business opportunities by identifying data trends and eagerly diving deeper into the data to answer key questionsBecome the subject matter expert on market-level and category-level data and the go-to source across the company for questions around these key insightsAssist in summarizing quantitative survey data and creating reports with key findings to share out across the organizationStandardize and automate analytic processes to gain efficiency in any recursive or iterative workflowEvaluating and staying up to date on new online and offline data opportunities in the form of new sources, new technology, partnerships, etc.Collaborate with stakeholders to define research objectives, methodologies, and timelines.QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of experience with syndicated data, analytics, category management, or related fieldsDemonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implicationsMarketing, consumer insights and/or sales analytics experience with a premier Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company or other companies using dataAbility to synthesize large amounts of data and translate into actionable findings"Can do" attitude and willingness to think beyond the status quoStrong attention to detailDemonstrate intellectual curiosity to critically and creatively solve ongoing business problemsStrong analytical thinking - effective at identifying the critical question, capable of navigating tradeoffs between accuracy / comprehensiveness / complexity vs. speed and simplicityYou put yourselves in the consumer’s shoes and are passionate about solving their problemsExperience with collaborating effectively with people at varying levels within an organizationAbility to think creatively to create unique content that will support thought leadershipComfortable in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentHigh proficiency with PowerPoint and ExcelExpertise with NPD/Circana data, Luminate data, and SQL a plus
