Managing Attorney

to lead our multi-state Attorney team.As a

Managing Attorney , you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of Attorneys, providing strategic legal guidance, and ensuring the delivery of top-quality legal services to our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of the law, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding legal services. The

Managing Attorney

works closely with the Executive team and is a valued member of leadership, participating in organization-wide planning, decision making, and initiatives. The Managing Attorney will build and maintain relationships with attorneys and the management team by being based in our

Philadelphia, PA

office 5 days per week.Key Responsibilities:

Organizational Strategy & Leadership

Supervise and mentor a team of attorneys to excel in carrying out their responsibilities.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.Participate in interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and conducting annual performance evaluations.Determine and set project milestones to ensure goals are met, adhering to deadlines and budgets.Assist with the design and implementation of strategic planning and goal-setting processes.Make sure Attorneys are providing the highest level of client service by evaluating their quality and productivity and making recommendations for improvement.Case Management:

Independently manage 1,000 hours of family law cases per year.Identify ways to improve work efficiency, resource allocation, and information flow within the firm.Develop and implement legal strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends, and adapt strategies accordingly.Ensure timely and efficient case progression, including court appearances and negotiations.Review and approve legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.Ensure all team members adhere to ethical standards and comply with legal regulations and guidelines.Business Development:

Contribute to the development of the firm through networking, marketing, and client acquisition.Build and maintain strong client relationships, seeking opportunities for repeat business and referrals.Partner closely with the Client Experience team by providing regular updates, addressing client concerns, and offering compassionate support during emotionally challenging times.Build up the credibility of the firm to the community by planning, organizing, and speaking at events such as webinars, media events, marketing initiatives, etc.Collaborate with the marketing team to identify trends and success of new client initiatives.Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active PA state bar membership. NJ state bar membership is highly preferred. Other state bar memberships considered.Minimum 10+ years of experience in family law practice with a strong knowledge of relevant statutes and legal procedures.At least 3 years of direct management experience over a team. Experience with remote and multi-state teams is highly preferred.Proven leadership, management, relationship building, and process improvement skills.Exceptional negotiation, communication, time management, and organizational skills.Ability to handle high-stress situations with empathy and professionalism.Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
