We are seeking a highly motivated, Senior Software Engineer focused on Integrations to join our Data Engineering team. You will build out and maintain third-party integrations, including external services and ELT pipelines to incorporate data from external systems into our solution suite. This role will also contribute to our client-facing APIs and data warehousing (Snowflake) capabilities for our clients.To be successful, in addition to your technical skills, we expect strong communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a context-driven approach to product development. Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our Technology function.As a Software Engineer focused on third-party integrations at Chronograph, you will:Work with multiple teams at the organization to assess the third-party integration and ELT opportunitiesUnderstand, design, and implement third-party services and data sets into our solution suiteIdentify opportunities for improving data migration practicesImplement fast, resilient, and extensible integrations with external APIsEnhance and extend external facing Chronograph APIs for client use, including implementation of best practices and change managementCollaborate closely with other engineers and across the organization to identify bottlenecks in our processes to ensure efficient processingYou will be successful in this role if you have:Five (5) or more years of professional backend leaning full stack experiencePrior experience building and maintaining API integrations and ELT processesA passion for maintainable, readable, stable, and well organized codeExceptional attention to detailKnowledge of Postgres and Snowflake development and best practicesKnowledge of at least one commonly used software language for developing ELTs (ideally Javascript/Typescript or Python), bonus for C# used in our Excel plug-in.Experience with common web API frameworks like GraphQL, and Node.js/ExpressAn understanding of commonly used cloud technologies for data migration, ideally within AWSStrong communication skills and an ability to distill complex conceptsAbility to work both individually and collaboratively to deliver results in a fast-paced startup environmentPositive attitude, sense of humor and creativityDeep curiosity and motivation to continue to develop as a programmer and technologistWhy Join Chronograph?We value creativity, open communication, cutting edge technology, striving for excellence in all things – and having fun along the way.
