The CalSTRS Project Management Program Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Information Technology Specialist I in the Project Management Office.Under the direction of the Project Management Office (PMO) Supervisor, the Information Technology Specialist I acts as a project manager on enterprise projects requiring regular innovative problem-solving skills within broadly stated and non-specific guidelines. The incumbent will develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with project stakeholders and ensure timely and effective decisions are made by providing project assistance and mentoring to business areas. This position may receive assignments directly from lead PMO project managers.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Product Owner (CPO) certificationA degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related fieldDemonstrated experience managing information technology projects utilizing predictive/waterfall methodologies and agile methodologiesExperience in contract and/or vendor managementAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and written with project members and stakeholders of all levelsAbility to manage multiple assignments and organize workload to accommodate changing prioritiesEvery 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.Telework Information: We offer a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2 days per week.
