Senior PLC Software Engineer
to join our office in Torbole Casaglia (BS).You will be placed in a collaborative and very motivating environment where continuous growth is the key element of our team.You will be supported and involved in projects on an international scale with the aim of acquiring a mix of skills to complete your professional profile and face complex challenges in the world of Industry 4.0.RESPONSABILITIES:Develop and implement software for industrial automation systems based on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) for the steel industry.Design and write PLC code for process controllers and automated systems, using the main PLC programming languages (e.g. ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram).Collaborate with the engineering and automation team to define the functional requirements of electrical and control systems.Set up and program PLCs and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) to monitor and control the operation of steel plants.Perform functionality and software integration tests, identifying and fixing any errors and faults.Support the installation and implementation of systems at customer sites, providing technical assistance and solving any programming problems.Accurately document the software developed, including flowcharts, technical specifications and user manuals.Collaborate with other company departments, such as the sales team and customer service, to ensure full customer satisfaction and achievement of project goals.REQUIREMENTS:Understanding of Industrial Automation and Control SystemsThorough knowledge of industrial automation principles and control systems used in steel processes, including sensors, actuators and control systems.Familiarity with industrial automation components and safety practices to ensure a safe and secure working environmentPLC and Software Programming SkillsProven experience in the use of PLC technologies and in-depth knowledge of programming software such as Siemens and Allen-Bradley.Skilled in PLC programming for standard applications, with expertise in creating efficient, optimised and scalable software.Message and Software OptimisationAbility to commission complex systems, understanding and implementing software functions in steelmaking environments.Accuracy and clarity in writing PLC code, with the ability to optimise and modify existing software to improve performance and resolve bugs.Diagnostics and TroubleshootingProven ability to quickly identify and resolve faults in PLCs and related devices.Proficiency in analysing diagnostic data and using debugging tools to identify root causes of faults and implement preventative solutions.Personal QualitiesProblem-solving oriented with timeliness and accuracy.WHAT YOU WILL FIND:Young and dynamic environmentOrientation to continuous improvement (high specialization)Open and collaborative cultureSatisfaction and Goal Orientation (OKR)Work-Life Balance (flexibility and accountability)Stimulating job with opportunities for professional growth (meritocratic environment)Opportunities for career development on an international scalePLC SOFTWARE ENGINEER
