Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Integration and Test Engineer – Global Integration SME (24-157) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

This position is in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, integrative JEMINI Lab Test Suites in our development lab.

Essential Functions:

Assist software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues.

Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems.

Create and modify scripts to perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data.

Troubleshoot test and prototype issues.

Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents.

Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary, and represent the Integration team.

Automated scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.

Extremely proficient in Linux scripting (bash, python).

High-level understanding of automation and implementation.

Highly proficient in troubleshooting methods.

Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.

Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment.

Familiarity with virtualized systems and security design and implementation.

Previous experience as a SW Tester/Integrator.

Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools.

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS clearance.

9 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 7 years experience with Masters degree in Computer Science or related field; 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.

Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

Strong software testing engineering integration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.

Experience developing scripts in Ansible.

Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments

Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting.

Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range:

$99,900 - $149,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
