We are seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to join our cross-functionally aligned agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, a proven ability to lead and mentor QA team members, experience working with vendors and an understanding of Agile methodologies. This role is crucial in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Essential Functions:
Leadership & Mentorship
Lead and mentor QA engineers both vendor and MSIG employees, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to the team members in planning, executing and documenting tests.Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.Communicate test progress, issues and risks to the teams and all levels of management.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to maintain an innovative QA practice.Quality Assurance Strategy
Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes that align with the most current methodologies of deliveryEnsure that testing activities are integrated into the agile development process and align with sprint goals.Continuously assess and improve the QA Process, methodologies, and practices.Test Planning and Execution
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.Execute and manage all levels of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testingAdvocate for and help implement test automation strategies to improve efficiency and coverage.Identify, document and track defect resolutionWork with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:
Diploma/Degree & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.5+ years' experience software testing2+ years leading QA5+ years Commercial Property & Casualty insurance products experience including Commercial Auto, General Liability, Workers' Compensations, and Property lines.Experience with processes and systems supporting Claims, Billing, and Underwriting functions.Proficient in test design and test execution tasks.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with agile teamsProficiency in QA tools and test management software such as Selenium.Excellent knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
