Web Developer
supporting the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) in Frederick, MD.Must be a US CitizenHybrid: Remote Permitted (Prefer local)Link Solutions Inc. is a leading provider of innovative and secure IT solutions for federal government agencies. We are looking for a web developer to join our team and support the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) by implementing and supporting web-based solutions. The candidate will oversee the design, development, and support of web-based solutions and front ends.Job Responsibilities:Build and deploy websites and applications.Support design of web-based solutions and systems in response to customer business requirements.Incorporate Cyber-Security best practices to build secure resilient web applications.Provide application and security development STIG.Test code, features, business rules, and integrations.Troubleshoot and fix websites, applications, and user support issues.Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web applications and services for USAMMDA’s mission-critical systems.Collaborating with project managers, analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and deliver optimal solutions.Applying best practices and standards for web development, security, accessibility, and performance.Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and providing user support.Documenting code, processes, and procedures.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
QualificationsUS CitizenMust be able to obtain T1 Security Clearance.IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.At least 3 years of experience in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP.NET, or other web technologies.Preferred:Experience with web frameworks such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, or React.Experience with web servers such as Apache, IIS, or Nginx.Experience with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.Experience with web services such as RESTful APIs or SOAP.Knowledge of web security principles and practices such as SSL/TLS, encryption, authentication, and authorization.Knowledge of web accessibility standards such as WCAG or Section 508.Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques such as caching, compression, and minification.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
