Manages caseload from inception of file to completion of bankruptcy case; evaluates files after the initial set up of referrals by paralegal to determine the best course of action and the status of the client's rights in a particular bankruptcy case; review all pleadings and claims filed in particular case; responds to all objections and motions involving the rights of clients; attends scheduled hearings; responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries.Responsibilities-Initial review of cases to determine best course of action-Review all filings on behalf of the clients-Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)-Regular bankruptcy hearing attendance-Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and trusteesRequired SkillsAdvanced knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights lawsAbility to manage a large case load of filesKeyboard Skills Attention to detailTime Management Communication SkillsEducationLaw degree – JDBarred in CaliforniaExperienceThis position requires advanced knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and relevant local rules within the various districts of California. Knowledge of general Creditors' Rights law and relevant state laws are also necessary. Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy cases is needed.Salary $90,000-$100,000. Commensurate with experience.
