IP Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Charleston, WV, is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Attorney with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join their team. The successful candidate will represent clients in intellectual property disputes, with a focus on cases involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.Duties:Manage all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property law and relevant case precedents.Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients regarding potential outcomes and settlement options.Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law and regulations to provide informed counsel to clients.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE degree) is required.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar in West Virginia or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.12-16 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on intellectual property litigation.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technologies.Experience managing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE degree) is required.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the state bar in West Virginia or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct in the practice of law.Company infoBCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew YorkNew YorkUnited States 10017Phone :
