Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.Experience with Lease Accounting (ASC 842), Construction Accounting, or Fixed Asset Accounting.

Preferred qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), MBA, or Master's degree in Accounting.Experience with SQL, SAP, and spreadsheet and presentation software.Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to support complex operational initiatives.Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.Excellent teamwork skills, and ability to work with cross-functional and international teams.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and focus on continuous improvement.

About The Job

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Every day is a new challenge, and you're continually looking for ways to help our team become more efficient and effective. You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

The Technical Infrastructure Controllership and Accounting (TICA) team manages the global accounting for Google’s TI Capital Expenditures portfolio, manufacturing operations, leases, and related expenses. Our investments in infrastructure aim to further improve our network which helps improve global connectivity, supporting users and Google Cloud customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Act as the key business advisor for various fixed asset related construction activities.Review significant agreements and work with the US GAAP lease accounting team and technical accounting for proper accounting treatment.Present results and key findings to senior management.Work cross-functionally with TI construction teams, FP&A, US GAAP accounting teams, entity leads, International Controllership, and external auditors.Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, and drive implementation of the solutions.
