Signet Health manages the Behavioral Health Services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
We have an opening for a
Full-time Art Therapist .
This person will design and implement a variety of art therapies focusing on individualized needs with the specific objective of fostering effective interactions, to enhance coping skills and cognitive functioning, reality orientation and prioritizing independence in caring for self.
Our team uses evidence-based treatment modalities to help provide cutting-edge and quality therapeutic services to those that need it most in the District of Columbia area, as well as surrounding states.
Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Participates in agency-wide training programs and in-services.
Assists with the adherence that the programming schedules are being conducted as required.
Provides quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements.
May work some evenings and weekends.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Active District of Columbia LGPC, with additional certification in art therapy is preferred.
An actively licensed LICSW or LPC will be considered with additional certification in art or recreational therapy (i.e., ATR or CTRS).
Experience with adult mental health and/or addictions program.
Experience with facilitating groups.
Must be flexible to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills.
Strong organization, initiative, and time management skills are important.
Salary Range:
$56,000 to $69,000 Annually
