Our strategic approach combined with our expertise, proprietary technology and data makes Merit Advisors the best at extracting trapped value and improving cash flow for our partners.What We SeekThe Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Finance/Accounting teams to provide analytical and strategic support to the Company’s Sponsor, Management and the Board of Directors. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will also collaborate with practice leads to support the overall sales and revenue objectives within our different practice lines. Using quantitative tools, you will develop financial models and analyses to measure company performance and present recommendations to the Leadership and management teams to assist in the execution of the Company’s strategy and vision.You will need to have a self-driven, conscientious mentality with a commitment to creating innovations through high-quality work.What Your Day Will Look LikeCreate presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to support sales and revenue objectivesAssist in the development of executive and board level presentationsEvaluate financial performance of the company, key drivers and KPIsBuild, maintain and improve financial and sales models to budget, measure and forecast performanceAssist with establishing and maintaining relevant financial metrics to be provided as a dashboard for senior management and business partnersCreate performance scorecards with visualizations to track changes in key business and sales metricsDevelop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports illustrating productivity and realization on active engagementsActively manage and analyze the firm’s revenue pipeline of prospective, current, and won engagements across multiple practice linesPerform ad hoc analysis to provide recommendations on how to solve business issues as they ariseBuild 3-statement financial models for forecasting, M&A and strategic investmentsYou’re perfect for this role if you:Possess exceptional critical thinking skills, ability to decompose complex problems, prioritize issues, and implement sensible solutionsCan articulate recommendations in a clear and succinct mannerAre self-motivated and have the capacity to work with limited supervision in a fluid, fast-paced environmentValue quality, performance, reliability, and scalabilityRoll-up your sleeves and work with team members and managementArticulate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsThink creatively, be highly driven, organized, and have the highest standards of accuracy and precisionWork well independently and as part of a teamBuild strong internal and external working relationshipsManage your time well and prioritize tasks effectivelyWhat You BringBachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from a top four-year college or university2–5years of investment banking, management consulting, private equity or similar corporate development experience (e.g., business operations at a startup, driving change in a company)Advanced skills in Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint.
