Position Title: Plant Controller (Old Fort, NC)Reports to: Corporate Controller & Head of Risk ManagementRESPONSIBILITIES:Function as a strategic partner for the Plant Manager, providing strong financial leadership for the plantDrive actual results to achieve/exceed Plan. Continuously monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate corrective actionsIdentify/initiate actions to improve profitability and asset turns, personally executing as needed. Examples include making vs. buying analysis and recommendations, reporting process improvements, contribution margin leakage and countermeasures, etc.Provide timely and relevant management reporting and actionable analysis to line managers to support fact-based decisionsRecruit, develop, and motivate a strong finance and accounting organization promoting an environment of continuous improvement, best-in-class processes, and timely, relevant informationCoordinate the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure the development of realistic plans focused on continuous improvement and supported by action plans to assure successful achievement of planned resultsEnsure a thorough understanding of plan drivers, risks, and opportunities to facilitate the development of actionable contingency plansEnsure that accounting records and monthly financial statements are complete, accurate, and prepared in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with Motus’ financial policies and proceduresCoordinate and prepare accurate, reality-based forecasts including in-depth analyses, identifying corrective actionsEnsure that internal controls and procedures are effective (no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses)Manage the plant portion of the annual audit with external auditorsDevelop accurate standard costs on an annual basis, ensuring a thorough understanding of variable, semi-variable, and fixed costs that can be used for variance analysis and decision-making purposesProactively manage working capital to meet/exceed plan cash flow targetsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in AccountingB.A. and/or CPA/CMA preferredPrior manufacturing Plant Controllership experience preferredDemonstrated success in over-achieving profit and cash flow targetsSuccessful experience in the details of planning/forecasting, and “actionable analysis”High energy, well-organized, and process-driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneouslyQualifications
