Position Title: Plant Controller

Reports to: Corporate Controller

The

Plant Controller

will be responsible for accounting and controllership over the plant and oversight of the A/P and A/R functions.

ResponsibilitiesFunction as strategic partner for the Plant Manager, providing strong financial leadership for the plant.Drive actual results to achieve/exceed plan. Continuously monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities and initiate corrective actions.Identify/initiate actions to improve profitability and asset turns, personally executing as needed. Examples include make vs. buy analysis and recommendations, reporting process improvements, contribution margin leakage and counter measures, etc.Provide timely and relevant management reporting and actionable analysis to line managers to support fact-based decisions.Recruit, develop and motivate a strong finance and accounting organization promoting an environment of continuous improvement, best in class processes, and timely, relevant information.Coordinate the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure development of realistic plans focused on continuous improvement and supported by action plans to assure successful achievement of planned results.Ensure a thorough understanding of plan drivers, risks and opportunities to facilitate development of actionable contingency plans.Ensure that accounting records and monthly financial statements are complete, accurate, and prepared in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with our financial policies and procedures.Coordinate and prepare accurate, reality-based forecasts including in-depth analyses, identifying corrective actions.Ensure that internal controls and procedures are effective (no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses).Develop accurate standard costs on an annual basis, ensuring a thorough understanding of variable, semi-variable, and fixed costs that can be used for variance analysis and decision-making purposes.Proactively manage working capital (A/R & A/P) to meet/exceed plan cash flow targets.

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting.B.A. and/or CPA/CMA preferred.Prior manufacturing Plant Controllership experience.High degree of audit capability.Demonstrated success in over-achieving profit and cash flow targets.Successful experience in the details of planning/forecasting, and “actionable analysis.”High energy, well organized and process driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
