$20-$22 per hourWhat Will You Do?Youth
Partners
play a crucial role as the main mentor for youth within their foster home or placement acting as role models, offering support, and serving as informal counselors. Youth PartnersWill be trained in Motivational Interviewing and Wraparound principles and Trauma Informed Care.Will attend all CFTMs for youth they’re working with.Will have a caseload of no more than 10 youth at a time (can be less depending on the acuity/risk of the youth on their caseload because the key to this program is the frequency/intensity of the support and contacts).Will engage the youth in the home and/or in the community, serve as a role model, a support and an informal counselor.Will maintain a rotating schedule for on-call. They will work non-traditional hours and their schedules will flex around the needs of their youth. The expectation is that each youth partner will provide a minimum of 2 direct contact hours with every youth on their caseload each week.RequirementsBachelor Degree in Human Services or relevant field requiredPersonal lived experience preferred.Prior professional experience with child welfare preferred.Must live in or near Buncombe & Jackson counties in NC or be willing to relocate to the area served
