We care for people - our employees, our customers, our consumers, and our communities - and our planet.A welcoming workplace that offers personal and professional growth for all individuals.At Beiersdorf, you'll find:A welcoming workplace that fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging where every team member feels valued, respected, and supportedNimble teams that enjoy challenging work and the ability to make an impactA dynamic community of life-long learners that values acumen, aptitude, and the ability to learn as well as hard skills and established expertiseA purpose-led company that cares about your personal and professional development with the right balance of structure and flexibility to thriveA collaborative culture that leads with care, trust, simplicity, and courageRESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with reviewing and drafting various business contracts, terms & conditions, notices, letters including but not limited to the following agreements: vendor, supplier, retailer, marketing, promotional, event, hotel sweepstakes, and cease and desistDraft routine business letters such as termination letters or letters to the business and route for approvalsReview and report on marketing materials, artwork claims (digital, social media, television, packaging, and print) for compliance with laws and regulations (e.g. FTC, FDA, NAD, Cosmetics Regulations, MOCRA)Assist with intellectual property matters, including but not limited to specimen collectionProvide support on litigation mattersStay abreast of any applicable changes in regulations, laws, as well as legal challenges occurring in similarly situated industries and update the legal department with relevant developmentsResearch laws and regulationsDraft clear and concise legal memosTrack and compile certain legal dataPerform administrative duties including organizing the department budget, managing and maintaining digital and/or physical files, submitting and processing invoices, and filing paperworkSupport the legal department and coordinate tasks as needed, including but not limited to meetings, calendars, expenses, etc.Assist with contract lifecycle management database and contract routingSupport with external and internal audit effortsAssist with due diligence and document collectionDraft and assist with e-commerce and other takedown noticesSupport with compliance matters and trainingsProvide aid other company initiatives including but not limited to vendor management and event preparationREQUIREMENTS:Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD), and 2-3 years of post-graduate experienceMarketing or advertising law experience requiredConsumer products or in-house counsel experience strongly preferredTransactional and intellectual property background strongly preferredMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlinesMust be flexible and open to assisting with administrative and back-office tasksMust have experience drafting, reviewing, or redlining a high volume of contractsMust have strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skillsMust have excellent organizational skillsMust possess strong analytical skills and the ability to take initiative and set prioritiesMust be able to work independently and in cooperation with othersMust be a local candidate or able to start quicklyMust be able to be on-site no less than 3 days a week, and available and flexible to be onsite as neededRelocation assistance is not available
