Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide full administrative support to the Senior Vice President, Memory Technology. In this role you will be trusted to work with the highest level of confidentiality and be expected to become familiar with the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Western Digital. While you will report to the SVP of Memory Technology, you will become a core member of the executive leadership administrative support team, collaborating closely with the CEO’s office.The ideal candidate is focused, organized, and innovative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking and attention to detail are equally meaningful in this role. Having a sense of humor is a must!Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCalendar Management: View the calendar through a strategic lens to schedule meetings that support the executive’s goals. Proactively solicit agendas and manage attendee lists.Meeting Planning and Organization: Assists in the planning and organizing of internal and external meetings, team offsites, and organizational wide meetings. Obtains briefing documents for key internal/external meetings and creates briefing packets for business trips.Correspondence/Approvals: Acts as a proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Acts a as a source for general inquiries and refer routine matters to appropriate parties.Travel: Manages complex international and domestic travel. Carefully considers and decides the optimum travel arrangements and itineraries. Processes Passports and Visas.Tool Management: Manages expense reports, PO’s, and becomes a tool champion of WD’s internal tools. Partner with executive technical support teams to ensure flawless execution when video conferencing and other meeting technologies are used.Projects: Partners with Chief of Staff on special projects, including researching issues, analyzing problems, and determining approach.Leadership: Cascades organizational information to administrative team members. Provides support and mentorship where needed and helps identify and create avenues for development and opportunity.GST is a global team with nearly 2,000 members spanning across multiple time zones and cultures.The candidate will be expected to lead and coordinate other EAs within the group as be a team member of the EA community (there is a reference to this, but would be good to explicitly state this)We expect the successful candidate to effectively work across various global teams, be familiar with their cultural sensitivities and local customs. So, experience with working in global organizations is a plus.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years supporting an SVP or above, preferably in high-techAdvanced knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Strategic, forward-looking thinkerAbility to prioritize and manage complex issuesExcellent written and oral communication skillsHighly organized, resourceful, and detail-orientedExcellent time management skillsCollaborative style, team playerDemonstrates leadershipDaily presence in Milpitas office with flexibility to travel to San Jose office when needed
