SSi has an exciting opportunity for IT Portfolio Support on our DHS Enterprise Architecture Support Services DHS Customs and Border Protection program. This person will support the development of a rich portfolio of shared-services offerings for the CBP enterprise. In this position you will work with multiple IT disciplines in providing a high-quality governance structure for the IT Portfolio that is principally focused on identifying and provisioning a wide variety of IT services that provide optimal value for the organization. The individual in this role will be part of an agile team and work closely with a team but have a lot of bandwidth to utilize independent professional judgement.QUALIFICATIONS:

Driving a culture of transparency and accountability, enabling information-based decision making in the management of IT investmentsEstablishing portfolio capabilities that will include the data requirements, process and roles, systems and governance, drive the adoption and uptake across the organizationEstablish Capabilities for business value management, inclusive of business case development, investment cost and benefits measurement, benefits tracking, value showback and cost/benefit optimizationDevelop capabilities for Technology Business Management (TBM) to support business Value Realization of investments in IT across the enterprise portfolioExpand the company’s use of TBM tools beyond infrastructure cost, management and more holistically mange IT costs related to investmentsThe portfolio manager will be responsible for the budget formulation, budget execution and improvement of the information technology/information management investment portfolioAt least 5-7 years’ experience of portfolio and/or business technology management experienceIT Systems Management knowledge-knowledge of the asset and process management practices, requirements and support services of the IT function is preferredExperience in risk management is preferredExperience managing in a matrix environment is preferredTechnical experience in management of computer applications systems is preferredDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands core internal and external IT services and consistently drives business value through these servicesAddresses business needs with an emphasis on standard solutionsCollaborate with business partners in the region to define technology strategy that maximizes business value and minimizing time to marketDefine priorities for business and associated technology investments, leveraging product line organizationOversee BA teams within region and drive collaborations and sharing of best practicesAlign stakeholders around common measurable goalsBe accountable for delivery and operational IT expenseUnderstand core internal IT services and new technologies and approaches to drive business valueEngage with external clientsLead the design, implementation and adoption of investment portfolio management capabilities for Business Value Realization, IT Cost Benchmarking, and Technology Business Management (TBM)Experience in establishing and managing Business Value Realization practicesStrong relationship management skills to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholdersFinancial experience with familiarity with budgetary planning and cost reportingPrevious industry experience in technology business managementAbility to provide business/financial advice to executives, controllers and directors on business management related mattersProven leadership experience including knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of othersDemonstrates ability to manage small to medium sized technical/infrastructure projects- managing scope, schedule, resources, risks/issues, and costCreates a collaborative partnership among IT leaders and portfolio stakeholders, and enables resource demand planning, change management, and project pipeline planning decisionsAdheres to IT’s Project Delivery methodologyDemonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional growth in agile project/program management and other key areasPerforms other critical tasks as requiredManage the funnel of proposed IT investments for assigned operational PMO, and review new program submissions to ensure information accuracy, thoroughness, completeness and compliance with IT standardsParticipates in customer meetings to ensure services meet customer expectations and incorporates them within the service catalogPrepares and supports reporting and communication to maximize stakeholder understanding of the IT Service Catalog and related costsPromotes service improvements on an ongoing basis to continually improve quality and customer satisfaction with IT services, including the design of new services within the IT PortfolioReview service metrics (KPIs) that identify the success of the services being utilized to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to services to improve metricsEDUCATION:

BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related field with 5-7years of experience in a comparable role within IT, utilizing Financial or business intelligence data applicationsCurrent SCRUM certification or Agile certification
