Senior Cost Analyst

Our growing consumer products client is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to assist with the daily and monthly operations of inventory accounting and related month-end close processes. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Manage all aspects of inventory including gross margin and product line analysis and related reserves; inventory reconciliation, reserves, and variance & COGS analysisCollaborate extensively with cross functioning departments to optimize inventory levels and provide analysis for process improvement and identify opportunities for greater revenue flowsOversee the daily and monthly cost accounting operations and to ensure GAAP compliance and cost accounting proceduresParticipate in the month-end close duties including journal entries, COGS and inventory reserve & reconciliation, intercompany and consolidation entries, and financial analysisAssist with special ad-hoc projects as neededThe qualified Senior Cost Analyst will possess:A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceAt least 4+ years of experience in G/L accounting with solid exposure to cost accounting and GAAPExcellent analytical skills and cross functional collaboration abilitiesSolid Excel skills, such as pivot tables and V-lookupsPrior experience with Oracle is preferred, but no requiredExcellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsFor further details, candidates should submit their resume in MS Word format to teddy.kang@talentedsg.com.
