We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related Engineering field. These cover a very wide range of advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle. Specifically, your role will include:

Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceStrong technical background in software development, including proficiency in programming languages, software architecture, and development methodologiesExperience in working with distributed teams and managing subcontractors or vendorsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and manage expectationsStrong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standardsFamiliarity with project management tools and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or WaterfallAbility to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans and deliverablesExperience in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirementsFamiliarity with software development best practices, such as code reviews, testing, and documentation.Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred:
Several years of experience in managing software development projects, preferably in a subcontractor or outsourcing contextExperience with embedded systems and designing & developing software that interacts with hardwareExperience with DO-178/MIL-STD-882 and applicable Design Assurance Level (DAL) certificationsExperience with aircraft mission systemsActive Top Secret clearance
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
