As a Project Engineering Manager I, you'll implement an integrated plan for product development including coordinating activities throughout the product lifecycle from design concept phase to release. You will monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed. You'll also review, manage, proactively challenge, and control status of project programs and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports, and guide and lead teams in achieving the goals of the program including issue identification, resolution and contingency planning.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study and typically 8 or more years of technical experienceKnowledge of engineering principles and practiceExperience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamBasic understanding of requirements management, system design, integrationThe ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Typically 2-4 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experienceExperience managing flight test programs to include: test plan/procedure developments, execution, and reportingExperience leading a cross-functional team and communicating with program management and customersFamiliarity with development and execution of program cost and schedule management to include control account management functionsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions and test proceduresExperience in FAA and Military aircraft certification effortsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustrySNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
