Lateral Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a talented Lateral Tax Associate Attorney with a solid understanding of the technical aspects of tax law, including strong research abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic and private equity M&A transactions, capital markets (including spin-offs and IPOs), investment fund formation, and/or real estate matters (including REITs). Exceptional writing, oral communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with top academic credentials and a creative mindset to tackle complex tax issues.Duties:Provide legal counsel and support on various tax-related matters, including strategic and private equity M&A transactions.Conduct thorough research on tax law issues and provide insightful analysis and recommendations.Assist in structuring and negotiating tax aspects of capital market transactions, such as spin-offs and IPOs.Advise clients on tax implications of investment fund formation and real estate matters, including REITs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax-related issues in client matters.Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreements.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide proactive legal counsel.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in DC.3-6 years of experience in tax law, preferably with a focus on strategic and private equity M&A transactions, capital markets, investment fund formation, or real estate matters.Strong understanding of tax law principles and regulations.Outstanding writing, oral communication, and analytical skills.Top academic credentials from a reputable law school.Ability to think creatively and solve complex tax issues effectively.Skills:Comprehensive understanding of tax law principles.Strong research and analytical abilities.Excellent writing and oral communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Creative problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
